Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver direct pharmaceutical care through medication selection, dosing, monitoring and patient education
• Lead the development and implementation of ED specific medication protocols and quality initiatives
• Jump into emergency response situations such as code blue, trauma and stroke alerts
• Serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents, shaping the next generation of clinicians
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes in urgent and emergent care scenarios
• Serve on medical staff and hospital wide committees to champion patient safety and care excellence
• Support more than 36,000 annual emergency department visits in a 26-bed Level III Trauma Center

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program is required
• Kansas Pharmacist License or eligibility for licensure is highly preferred
• Clinical or hospital pharmacy experience is preferred
• Residency training is a plus
• Emergency Department experience is preferred
• Willingness to relocate to Salina, KS for this on-site role
