Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for orthodontic procedures
• Assist the orthodontist during examinations, adjustments, and appliance placements
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Manage patient records and update treatment plans in Denticon
• Ensure patient comfort and a positive experience throughout their visit

Qualifications

• State certification or registration as a Dental Assistant in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• X-ray certification and experience taking dental radiographs
• Previous experience in orthodontic assisting preferred
• Familiarity with Denticon dental software is a plus
• Ability to work the scheduled shift on the assignment date

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and infection control standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Basic computer proficiency with dental practice management software
