Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following infection control protocols
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, maintaining accurate imaging records
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and brace care, providing clear instructions and encouragement
• Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and inventory of supplies
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring a clean and organized environment

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) or equivalent orthodontic certification required
• Prior experience as a dental assistant, preferably in an orthodontic practice
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
