Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety
• Provide compassionate patient care, easing anxiety and answering questions before and after procedures
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed for accurate diagnosis
• Manage patient records and provide clear post-operative instructions
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional oral health outcomes

Qualifications

• A warm and caring demeanor with excellent communication skills
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• Experience in oral surgery or surgical assisting is a plus
• Knowledge of dental terminology and instrumentation
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Valid CPR certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and procedures
• Familiarity with sterilization protocols and infection control practices
• Proficiency with dental software for patient management and charting
• Excellent chairside manner and ability to build rapport with patients
• Skill in anticipating the surgeon's needs during procedures
