Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare and maintain the surgical operatory, sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Prepare patients for surgery, taking radiographs and vital signs as needed
• Provide post-operative instructions and support to patients and their families
• Manage inventory of surgical supplies and maintain compliance with safety standards
• Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or relevant state licensure (where applicable)
• Radiography certification (RDA/X-ray) preferred
• Experience in oral surgery or surgical assisting is a plus
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with dental surgical instruments and equipment
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the oral surgeon
• Proficient in maintaining electronic health records (EHR)
