Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during a variety of procedures, ensuring everything runs seamlessly
• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a pristine, safe environment
• Take dental X-rays and digital scans as needed, keeping patient comfort top of mind
• Orient and educate patients on orthodontic care and treatment plans
• Accurately document treatment and patient records using Denticon software
• Create a welcoming experience for patients and families from check-in to check-out

Qualifications

• Must hold current orthodontic assisting certification
• Experience as a dental assistant, preferably in orthodontics
• Ability to work in the Parkville, MD area and start promptly
• Strong attention to detail and excellent chairside manner
• Familiarity with Denticon software is highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in orthodontic procedures and chairside techniques
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and orthodontic appliances
• Skilled in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) with attention to safety
• Strong verbal communication and patient education abilities
• Nimble with dental software and digital record keeping
• Commitment to infection control and OSHA standards
