Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist elderly residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Provide compassionate care while maintaining residents' dignity and independence
• Document care provided and vital signs accurately
• Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure resident comfort and safety

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred
• Must be able to pass background checks and provide valid identification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Empathy and patience when caring for elderly patients
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to perform vital sign monitoring and basic nursing tasks
• Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced healthcare environment
