Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all dental instruments are sterilized and ready for procedures
• Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
• Provide excellent patient care and educate patients on oral hygiene
• Manage patient records and schedule appointments efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to uphold health standards

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
• Radiology (X-ray) certification as required by NY state
• CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in a dental office is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Proficiency with dental software and patient management systems
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach
• Attention to detail and infection control practices
