Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control standards
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and impressions as directed by the orthodontist
• Educate patients on orthodontic appliances, oral hygiene, and care instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans in the Denticon system
• Manage patient flow and assist with administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations

Qualifications

• Active Orthodontic Certification (required)
• Proficiency with Denticon software
• Experience as a dental assistant in an orthodontic or dental setting
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental and orthodontic terminology
• Skill in taking dental X-rays and impressions
• Expertise in sterilization and infection control procedures
• Patient care and customer service expertise
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Computer proficiency with dental practice management software
