Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and confidence
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment for every patient
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions with precision
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care in a friendly way
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans
• Keep the operatory and inventory stocked and ready for each appointment

Qualifications

• Current dental assistant certification or registration as required in Maryland
• X-ray certification preferred (but we can help you get it!)
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience is a plus
• A compassionate, patient-focused attitude that puts people at ease
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dental office

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Comfort with dental software and digital charting
• Strong communication skills to connect with patients and teammates
• Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Team player who thrives in a supportive, high-energy setting
