Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Help create a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or licensure in Maryland
- Radiology/X-ray certification required
- Prior experience in orthodontics preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
- Proficiency in taking dental impressions
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and tools
- Excellent organizational skills
- Compassionate patient-centered approach
