Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during examinations, procedures, and adjustments
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Take and pour up dental impressions, and create study models
• Capture and update digital X-rays, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules using Denticon

Qualifications

• State certification or registration as a Dental Assistant (or willing to obtain)
• Experience in orthodontic assisting, including exposure to braces and aligners
• Current radiography (X-ray) certification
• Proficiency with Denticon or similar dental practice management software
• CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent chairside manner and a passion for patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic terminology, procedures, and materials
• Skilled in sterilization and infection control protocols
• Comfortable with digital charting and dental software (Denticon)
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a collaborative dental team
• Attention to detail in maintaining accurate clinical records
