Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene
- Take and develop dental X-rays, providing essential diagnostic support
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, helping them maintain healthy smiles
- Manage patient records and assist with appointment scheduling to keep the practice running seamlessly
- Provide a warm and welcoming environment, putting patients at ease from the moment they arrive
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state licensure
- X-ray certification and experience taking dental radiographs
- Previous experience in orthodontics preferred, but a passion for orthodontic care is essential
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
- Proficiency with dental software and record-keeping
- Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
