Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including cleanings, scaling, and root planing with a gentle touch
• Take and develop dental x-rays to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
• Educate patients on oral health best practices to promote long-lasting smiles
• Screen patients for oral diseases and collaborate with the dentist on treatment recommendations
• Maintain a sterile and welcoming environment to ensure patient safety and comfort

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Proven experience in dental hygiene, with a strong patient-focused approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a dental team

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Proficient in digital charting and dental software
• Skill in administering local anesthesia and applying preventive treatments
• Exceptional attention to detail with a compassionate chairside manner
• Understanding of dental radiography and safety protocols
