Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and safely
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment charts
• Provide a warm, reassuring presence to help patients feel comfortable

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or formal training
• X-ray certification (where applicable) or ability to obtain one
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience is a plus
• Comfortable working with patients of all ages
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a busy clinical setting
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
