Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized operatory
• Take and develop dental X-rays, and perform patient record documentation
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Manage patient flow and support front desk tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Maryland (or eligible)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience as a dental assistant is required; orthodontic experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and infection control
• Familiarity with dental software and digital X-ray systems
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Compassionate chairside manner and patient-centered approach
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality care
