Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, fittings, and procedures while keeping patients at ease
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories to maintain a safe environment
• Take and process dental X-rays as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment documentation
• Manage supplies and ensure the clinical space is organized and ready

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or applicable state certification
• Radiography/X-ray certification preferred
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience is a plus
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work a same-day assignment with a positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, materials, and procedures
• Comfort with dental software and patient management systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team members
• Attention to detail and infection control best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
