Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during exams and procedures to ensure smooth patient care
• Prepare patients for treatment and take dental X-rays as needed
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment
• Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care guidance
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
• Support a welcoming and friendly office environment

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in orthodontics or dental assisting (state requirements may apply)
• X-ray certification as required by Maryland state regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental software and patient management systems
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach
