Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures and ensure patient comfort
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take dental X-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and aftercare
• Maintain patient records and manage appointment flow
• Support a positive and welcoming office environment

Qualifications

• Hold a valid orthodontic assisting certification
• Certified dental assistant (CDA) or willingness to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• 2+ years of experience in an orthodontic practice preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Proficiency with dental software and record keeping
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate patient care skills
