Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, adjustments, and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and pour dental impressions, and capture X-rays
• Educate patients on braces, aligners, and oral hygiene
• Document patient treatments and update records
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Assistant or orthodontic certification required
• Dental assisting experience, preferably in orthodontics
• Proficiency with dental X-rays and impressions
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Dental instrument sterilization and infection control
• Patient record management, including electronic health records
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office
• Familiarity with Denticon or similar dental software
