Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional oral hygiene care through professional cleanings and periodontal therapy
• Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision
• Apply fluoride and sealants to protect teeth and prevent decay
• Educate patients on personalized oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Support the dentist during procedures and ensure a smooth patient experience
• Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards for a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact eligibility)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the dental team
• Familiarity with dental software and digital charting

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental radiographs
• Understanding of OSHA and infection control protocols
• Skilled in patient education and motivational interviewing
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Adaptable to varying patient needs and treatment plans
