Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with patient procedures and treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Take dental x-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes

Qualifications

• Must hold Orthodontic Certification
• Dental assisting certification or license as required by Maryland
• X-ray certification
• Experience in orthodontic assisting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Patient care and chairside assisting skills
• Sterilization and infection control practices
• Team collaboration and adaptability
• Attention to detail and organization
