Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures and treatments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
• Provide patient education on oral care and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current dental assistant certification or registration in Maryland
• Experience in orthodontic assisting preferred
• Radiology certification (X-ray) required
• CPR certification preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to providing excellent patient care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Knowledge of dental software and record-keeping
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
