Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain operatory rooms with sterile instruments and supplies
• Take and process dental x-rays as directed
• Provide compassionate care and comfort to patients before, during, and after procedures
• Document patient information and assist with treatment planning
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• X-ray certification and experience in taking dental radiographs
• Prior experience in oral surgery or surgical assisting is a plus
• A friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills for patient records and scheduling
