Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during examinations and dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Take and develop digital X-rays with attention to patient comfort
• Educate young patients on proper oral hygiene habits in a fun, engaging way
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment charts
• Provide exceptional chairside support to create a positive dental experience for children and families

Qualifications

• Wisconsin Dental Assistant certification or licensure as required
• BLS/CPR certification is required
• Prior experience as a dental assistant, especially in pediatric dentistry, is preferred
• Comfortable working with children and creating a welcoming, stress-free environment
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control
• Experience taking digital X-rays and managing dental software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with pediatric patients
• Team player with a gentle, patient-focused approach
• Understanding of OSHA and HIPAA regulations
