Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral health assessments
• Take and develop digital x-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort
• Assist with periodontal treatments and maintenance therapy
• Document patient care and maintain accurate dental records

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in a clinical dental setting is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental software and digital x-ray technology
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of dental anatomy and periodontal disease
• Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
