Shift Type: Day shift, Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 35

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' functional abilities and develop personalized treatment plans to promote independence
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and activities to improve motor skills, coordination, and daily living tasks
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Document patient progress accurately and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
  • Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants and support staff as needed

Qualifications

  • Active Washington State Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license
  • NBCOT certification for OTs or COTAs
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred
  • Must be able to pass a background check and provide state/federal ID as required by the facility

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, modalities, and rehabilitation techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
  • Time management and organizational skills to handle a caseload efficiently
  • Compassion and patience when working with diverse patient populations
