Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate occupational therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting
• Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients regain independence in daily activities
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
• Adapt activities and interventions to meet each patient's unique needs and goals

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of New Mexico or compact eligibility
• Current BLS certification from AHA or equivalent
• Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings preferred
• New Mexico caregiver account or ability to obtain one
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment and treatment techniques
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
