Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients on a Med/Surg/Telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly report changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments with precision and care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and document patient progress

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or a valid compact state license
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Med/Surg or Telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Must pass Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Completion of health screening requirements including drug screen, immunizations, and fit test

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Compassionate patient assessment and care planning
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Accurate documentation in electronic health records
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient and family education
