Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Triage patients quickly and prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to stabilize and treat patients
• Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in condition, and respond rapidly
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Document accurately and maintain compliance with emergency nursing standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island or compact license
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Previous emergency room or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective during high-pressure situations
• Proficient in EKG interpretation and pharmacology
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Compassionate patient advocacy and family support
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documentation systems
