Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Med Surg patients across multiple units
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to different unit workflows and patient populations as a Float Pool RN
• Document patient information thoroughly and maintain compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Rhode Island and verified through Nursys
• Current BLS certification
• Med-Surg nursing experience preferred
• Ability to complete required competency exams and health screenings
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Ability to float between units and adapt to changing patient needs
• Familiarity with EKG interpretation and pharmacology
• Excellent documentation and EHR skills
