Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using state-of-the-art equipment
• Prepare patients by explaining procedures and positioning them for optimal imaging
• Capture high-quality images and identify key anatomical landmarks for physicians
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis
• Maintain equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Document patient history, images, and reports efficiently in the EHR system

Qualifications

• Certified as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent (ARDMS / ARRT)
• Current BLS (CPR) certification required
• Previous experience in ultrasound sonography, preferably in a clinical setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with patients and team members
• Ability to work independently while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Willingness to rotate between our Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo locations

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of ultrasound physics, instrumentation, and imaging techniques
• Proficiency in performing abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts exams
• Excellent attention to detail for accurate image capture and analysis
• Skilled in explaining procedures to patients and addressing their concerns
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and patient needs
