Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and cardiac rhythms to detect changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform life-saving interventions as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state license
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Previous ICU nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in critical care, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and IV therapy
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety protocols
