Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and assess patient status, responding quickly to any changes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments with accuracy and confidence
• Educate patients and their families on conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Document thoroughly in the EHR and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
• Adapt and float across med/surg and telemetry units as part of the resource pool team

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend
• Completion of Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Previous med/surg or telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical and telemetry nursing protocols
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient status
• Excellent clinical judgment and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using EHR systems and maintaining accurate documentation
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with the care team and educating patients
