Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
• Educate patients on teeth straightening and aftercare
• Maintain accurate patient records using Denticon software
• Support the dental team with scheduling and inventory

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent preferred
• Maryland state dental assistant certification or eligibility
• Radiology certification to take X-rays in Maryland
• Prior experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Comfortable working with patients of all ages

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Denticon or ability to learn quickly
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Attention to detail in infection control and sterilization
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office
