Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents while respecting their dignity and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring vital signs and reporting changes promptly
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the care team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that promotes healing and well-being

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or a compact state
• Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Willingness to comply with facility vaccination requirements, including COVID-19 vaccine or documented exemption
• At least 1 year of recent LPN clinical experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and dosage calculation
• Wound care, specimen collection, and monitoring of patient status
• Electronic health records (EHR) and accurate charting
• Critical thinking and calm response to changing patient conditions
• Clear communication and teamwork with diverse care teams
• Empathy, patience, and a positive, patient-centered attitude
