Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to elderly residents, including assistance with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and eating
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior to nursing staff
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Support residents' emotional and social needs through engagement and companionship
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure the highest quality of life for each resident

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a state-approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual
