Location: Waldorf, Maryland
Start Date: 07-31-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Monday-Friday (or as assigned), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM with 30-minute meal break
Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to elderly residents, including assistance with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior to nursing staff
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Support residents' emotional and social needs through engagement and companionship
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure the highest quality of life for each resident
Qualifications
- Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a state-approved GNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
