Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence
• Assist patients with functional activities such as dressing, grooming, and daily living skills
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the therapy team
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques
• Adapt therapeutic activities to meet individual patient needs and goals

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in California
• Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of recent COTA experience in a skilled nursing or acute care setting preferred
• Willingness to travel for a 15-week contract assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with patients and team members
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and modalities
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and patient populations
• Proficient in documentation and electronic medical records
