Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming to preserve dignity and comfort
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Provide compassionate mealtime assistance and ensure hydration needs are met
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care activities and observations
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Collaborate with nurses and therapy staff to support individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current GNA classification (Class: GNA) as listed on the order
• Willingness and ability to work night shift hours (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Comfortable working in a long-term care/rehab setting
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Meet facility onboarding requirements (background check, immunizations/tuberculosis screening as required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience or familiarity with geriatric care and ADLs
• Basic vital signs monitoring and observation skills
• Knowledge of safety, infection control, and resident dignity practices
• Good documentation habits and attention to detail
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
