Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the administrative and operational functions of Women's & Newborn Services across two campuses, aligning with organizational strategy and service line goals.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring responsible and effective use of financial resources to support high-quality care.
- Drive strategic planning and cultivate partnerships that advance organizational priorities and improve care coordination.
- Oversee clinical service line operations, including standards of care, clinical pathways, staffing plans, and process improvement.
- Serve as the administrative leader and liaison for physicians, representing the service line to medical staff committees.
- Acquire and allocate human, material, and financial resources to meet service line needs and optimize patient flow.
- Use evidence, quality metrics, and outcomes data to guide operational change and improve systems and procedures.
- Champion patient- and family-centered care while setting expectations for quality, service, and cost stewardship.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or other related master's degree required.
- Current Iowa license to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
- Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Five (5) years of progressively more responsible leadership positions at or above the manager level in NICU and/or obstetrics, with proven results in improved outcomes.
Education
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or other related master's degree
Knowledge & Skills
- Leadership and team development with a focus on coaching and feedback.
- In-depth knowledge of NICU and obstetric care delivery.
- Financial management, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Strategic planning and partnership building.
- Regulatory compliance and quality improvement.
- Emotional intelligence and effective change management.
