Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate occupational therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing facility
• Implement individualized treatment plans that empower patients to regain independence
• Collaborate with a supportive therapy team and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with facility policies
• Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques for continued success

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in New Mexico
• 1-3 years of experience as a COTA, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
• Ability to meet productivity requirements of 92% while delivering exceptional care
• Must be present in the building to receive guaranteed hours

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in occupational therapy interventions and rehabilitation techniques
• Strong patient assessment and documentation abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of skilled nursing facility regulations and productivity standards
