Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide professional dental hygiene care including cleanings and oral health assessments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a comfortable patient experience
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
• Follow infection control protocols and safety standards
• Work closely with a dedicated dental assistant to streamline procedures
• Focus on hygiene care without the need for X-rays or exams

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in New Jersey
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and compassionately
• Experience in clinical dental hygiene is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and periodontal care
• Familiarity with dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Proficiency with dental charting software
• Excellent patient education and motivational interviewing skills
• Ability to adapt to different patient needs and schedules
