Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during procedures such as braces placement, adjustments, and removals
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, ensuring a safe and clean environment
- Take dental X-rays and impressions to support treatment planning
- Educate patients on orthodontic care and proper oral hygiene
- Manage and update patient records using Denticon software
- Provide comforting and compassionate care to every patient
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
- Previous experience in orthodontic assisting is highly valued
- Proficiency with Denticon software to streamline daily tasks
- Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials
- Comfort using dental practice management software like Denticon
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records
