Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity critical care to cardiac surgery, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and lung transplant patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage hemodynamics, and respond quickly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with intensivists and the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes
• Perform and assist with bedside procedures including bronchs, Swans, and epidurals
• Educate and support patients and their families through complex recovery journeys
• Maintain strict sterile field during procedures and pass/fail SIMs lab competencies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or a compact state - willing to wait for license
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, with Level I Trauma experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance - you get 2 attempts!
• CVICU experience strongly preferred, CCRN certification is a plus
• Must have own vehicle for travel team assignments
• Professional appearance standards - natural hair color, no facial piercings, and clean shaven for men

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong IV skills and central line management expertise
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry
• In-depth knowledge of dysrhythmia recognition and treatment
• Comfort with IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and ventilator management (preferred)
• Excellent understanding of sterile field techniques - this is essential!
• Ability to float to ICU, MS, or Tele units as needed
