Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform thorough teeth cleanings and preventive dental treatments
• Take and review dental X-rays to detect oral health issues
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment
• Document patient care accurately and update dental records

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (required)
• Associate or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate chairside manner
• Experience in a dental office setting is a plus
• Ability to work well within a collaborative team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and best practices
• Understanding of dental radiography and safety protocols
• Skilled in patient education and building rapport
• Strong attention to detail and infection control standards
• Comfortable using dental software and patient management systems
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work with patients
