Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for orthodontic procedures with a warm and reassuring manner
- Assist the orthodontist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow
- Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes
- Manage orthodontic supplies and inventory to ensure the office is always prepared
Qualifications
- Must be Orthodontic Certified (ortho certified)
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in orthodontics
- Current CPR/BLS certification (if required by state)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques and orthodontic procedures
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and infection control
- Comfortable using dental software for patient records and scheduling
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- A positive, patient-first attitude with a team spirit
