Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for orthodontic procedures with a warm and reassuring manner
• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes
• Manage orthodontic supplies and inventory to ensure the office is always prepared

Qualifications

• Must be Orthodontic Certified (ortho certified)
• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in orthodontics
• Current CPR/BLS certification (if required by state)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental assisting techniques and orthodontic procedures
• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and infection control
• Comfortable using dental software for patient records and scheduling
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
• A positive, patient-first attitude with a team spirit
