Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis for patients
• Assist in the assessment and screening of patients' oral health
• Take and develop dental x-rays (radiographs) as needed
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Document patient care and update dental records accurately
• Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR certification required
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a dental practice preferred
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental hygiene instruments and equipment
• Knowledge of dental radiography and digital imaging
• Strong interpersonal and patient education abilities
• Attention to detail and precision in clinical tasks
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
