Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in evaluating patients and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Help patients develop, restore, or maintain daily living and work skills
• Document patient progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide compassionate, comprehensive care

Qualifications

• Valid COTA certification and active California state licensure (or compact eligibility)
• Previous experience in acute care or rehabilitation settings is a big plus
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping others
• Physical ability to stand, move, and assist patients throughout the day

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of occupational therapy principles and rehabilitation techniques
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude when working with diverse patient populations
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Adaptable team player who values collaboration and flexibility
