Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain patient oral health
• Take and develop dental X-rays for diagnostic purposes
• Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Apply fluoride and sealants as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Ensure infection control protocols are followed to provide a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative dental team
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Skilled in patient education and oral health counseling
• Proficient in taking dental X-rays
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
