Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist geriatric patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support patients with mobility, transferring, and positioning
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Provide compassionate care and companionship to residents
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
• Document care provided accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Completed original or updated COVID-19 vaccine or documented religious/medical exemption
• Ability to provide state or federal issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work effectively as part of a care team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic geriatric nursing care principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols
• Skill in assisting with daily living activities
• Reliable and punctual work ethic
